Scattershot, 4am rushed write up, a week after finishing the game. Barely scratched the surface. Not very happy with it, and maybe more negative than it needs to be Probably a sign to begin converting these reviews into more polished and structured scripts and then into videos

Real Ninja reacts to Ninja Gaiden Ultimate Techniques

Its nice to see people defend the Spirit and Stone Imp from Eternal, but its misplaced, they are bad design. BUT they are not bad because they force an approach or made up shit like "player expression" They are bad because the dynamic to dispatch them is not engaging

store.steampowered.com/app/2109060/... Alright, new followers. Magenta Horizon is going through the sale season. It’s hella cheap now. Wanna fund the Moonlight Maelstrom development? Wanna taste my unfiltered action game development philosophy? You can buy it now.

I think its mostly people have just not interacted with good scoring systems, so they dont know. As valuable as scoring is, its very undercooked, and is a dev priority in the nichest of genres (shmups)

Man, if only there was some kind of, overarching system, to reward the player for doing more than the bare minimum... some kind of system that can reward the player for engaging in rules independent of survival I wish designers would come up with a system like that one day...

In honor of the announcement of #MoonlightMaelstrom here is a clip of me getting fucked up on NORMAL difficulty in Magenta Horizon

The creative field of competitive figure skating realized that in order to score a creative field, you need to crowd source an opinion from an audience Until CharacterAction/Sandbox-Action games begin implementing an online clip scoring, the issues will persist

Reminder that if you do not like timers in video games, you need to grow up and stop being a child

I love that the Revenants melee attack in classic Doom is just socking you in the jaw

"He doesn't pistol start DOOM!"

This amount of gameplay directorial control at the fingertips of every player is the future of proxy 3D game marketing

In-engine gameplay recording has so much potential, I am convinced the first large dev that implements "director mode" is going to blow up from all the clips posted Just being able to watch your recorded gameplay from different angles will dominate social media

Just pistol start cleared the first mission of Plutonia on UV

Away from home for a week helping family members. Again only with my Sisters laptop, time to play Plutonia

I've published the first part of my guide on how to play the best 3D beat 'em up of all time: SpikeOut! This part covers the basics, more advanced topics will be covered in a future part. (Replies to this skeet will appear as comments under the webpage) testamentenjoyment.net/spikeout/gui...

Might have to just notepad all my thoughts so far in case I forget anything within that week

Will be away from home for about a week, I was really hoping to be finished with Dark Ages before I have to rustify for that long

Figured I would post this, it has been sitting on my drive (Link in the replies)

#screenshotSaturday #lowpoly #blender #godot3D #MoonlightMaelstrom Destructable objects, hit flash, dust effects, tons of bullets, tons of enemies, and more... Yeah, the game is becoming as chaotic as my previous work. Temporary BGM: Voivod - Planet Eaters

Doing a pandemonium default sliders nightmare run to get a better idea of the games "intended" dynamics, so I can contrast it with my maxed out sliders nightmare run

Wow who is this guy, first time seeing him (I hope this guys channel does not get taken down haha) (link in replies)

I think the only Doom: Dark Ages slider that does not need touching from its nightmare value is damage to player. All other sliders set to max difficulty significantly improve the game, especially 150% speed

Doom: Dark Ages weapons are very self contained, which Is why I think some kind of "Pistol start" mode as a post-launch would be amazing.

The problem with Dark Ages Dragon and Mech sections is not necessarily that they exist, its that they are less engaging than the main combat

Difficulty sliders kind of have a dual nature in my mind, they are welcome in AAA games that have to sell millions, because they allow me to increase the difficulty past the statistical average But I do not think they have any place in indie skill based games

Shadow Warrior 3 1CC was my Doom Eternal 1CC
