I first heard it at 18 & was hooked immediately. My original vinyl copy of Bryter Layter (bought for £1 (!) from a market stall in Manchester in about 1980) is one of my prized possessions.

Agreed, though Pink Moon is a tough listen in places as it’s clear he was in a bad way when he recorded it.
That said, Five Leaves Left is one of the greatest debut albums ever to my mind.

I’ve been using the cold water that runs through the taps at first to shave in (not a big sacrifice in Malaga in June). At least that way by the time I get in the shower it’s starting to warm up a bit.

I agree: at our apartment in San Pedro the shower in the bathroom is as far from the gas boiler as it’s physically possible to get without going next door. It’s a ridiculous waste of both water and gas.
