Husband bought a Kona the year they came out. So far, it has been 'OK', not great reliability, but not as bad as some Hyundai's I have seen. BUT, getting the dealer to honor their warranty has been a hassle every time it has been needed.

Exactly. The way that I figure it, the 25% tariff would be FAR less than the resulting price of making an iPhone in the USA.

This guys imaginary AI sounds a lot like the Apple blue-sky 'Computers of the Future' video that they did almost 40 years ago, called the Knowledge Navigator. www.youtube.com/watch?v=umJs...

And there are some people making it that way, because it is more profitable to them.

We live near the foothills in SoCal, and we see these guys flying along the hills often. Lots of hawks, as well...

It is needed, if you want to have a communications channel that is not 'monitored' by normal Fed security. Great if you are doing illegal stuff. That way, no records are kept....

I see 'furry' mascots in ads and signs (like this), and I keep wondering which furry artist did that one.

I was just at a model train show this last weekend. They had modular layouts from many scales. But the N and Z scale layouts were the ones that I liked best. These pics were taken on the N gauge modular layout.

That was one of the genius things about FM in their 70's/80's prime. Unabashedly pop, but also a bit of a rock edge. Buckinghams guitars and arrangements were perfection for the material. And like you say, great production...

If you are not in the USA, it still does show you Gulf of Mexico. Unless/until Trump has a hissy fit over that...

At least the tent is happy to be there.

Just to make it clear, this is ZERO infrastructure to bring PNW water into California. No pipe, no canal, no aqueduct, etc... Every time such a thing has been proposed, the PNW has told CA to get lost, not happening. California would probably love for it to happen, but it does not currently exist.

Let’s see if this is like the FoxCon in Wisconsin fake out, trolling for tax credits.

This can sorta be argued is a 'chicken and egg' situation. Many transit systems have spurred more 'urban development' around their system. I see no real reason it couldn't happen in a more long-distance rail system, especially if encouraged by zoning, etc... Station placement matters, as well.

I went into Walmart two days after Christmas, and they were already unstocking some of the shelves that had been for Xmas stuff, and stocking them with Valentines stuff.

The apps you list are known memory hogs. Any reason that you MUST use those apps? Use Safari instead of Chrome. Use the Apple apps instead of the MS Office apps, they all open and save files in Office file formats.

Most of us have some variation of this story.

Back during Y2K, for a couple of years, COBOL programmers made big bucks. There is supposedly still a lot of COBOL code running on virtual legacy machines.

Ah! I did wonder why it was almost a carnival-like celebration. We were traveling to the eclipse centerline, and saw a couple of towns with the celebration going on. As it was Dia de Los Muertos, we assumed that’s what we were seeing.

Back in ‘94 I was on the altiplano in Bolivia for a Solar Eclipse, and they were definitely celebrating Dia de Meurtos there.

There are actually a few sit-down Pizza Huts still around. I ate at one recently.

GSFTW admins chime in with the Furry Raiders claiming the con to be their house. GSFTW admins tell other users to take "personal beefs" elsewhere. When nazifurs use the con as their platform, the con expects you to be sweet and silent. GSFTW is complicit.

Same can be said for reproductive health issues.
