bluesky wouldn't tell us if it was captured by the elites, but there would be signs

At the risk of this turning into a bad 3/5ths joke, Many people outside of NYC should have some say In the mayoral election, if not a full vote. If you commute in, you should have a voice in NYC politics.

Costco trying really really hard to have humans involved in self checkout and I'm conflicted because I obviously would love a checkout experience with no human interaction, but pre checking out my cart so I only need to pay a self checkout is great Of course they can just let me checkout as I go.

Non-functional requirement is a DUMB ASS NAME and @leonadato.com needs to invite me on a podcast so everyone can make obvious statements on this

Not gonna lie, I did not expect to see SQL 1.0 on a Windows 2000 box at today’s Fabric Power Hour session at #sqlbits2025.

Oh no. This means Los Angeles is going to die and the other California counties will have to convene and choose a new one.

Banks are gonna bank.

I started a meetup for OT cyber in Melbourne if anyone wants to go. They said I could use the office and buy beer 🤷🏻‍♀️ www.meetup.com/melbourne-ot...

Submitted a few sessions to #sqlsat Boston 2025 sqlsaturday.com/boston You can do the same.

On Juneteenth, we not only commemorate the end of slavery, but also celebrate the resilience of Black Americans throughout our nation’s history. Today and every day, we continue our mission of building a more prosperous future for all.

I just need every American homeowner to think they need a tap and die set in imperial and metric so I can have cheap letter, number and metric tap size drill bits. It's mildly annoying that home Depot won't sell me a Ryobi letter drill index that costs the same as that many fractional drills.

Everyone knows you summon G-d with EDI. You need to use RPG on an AS/400 for it to work because he will know if you used python.

Kind of wonder if an oil crisis would promote mass EV adoption

Did you hear about the counter-protests this weekend? A horror author, a fast food mascot, and an entire basketball team were outside carrying signs that said “#NotAllKings”

Kids who take e-scooters to school have bigger "rich kid energy" than kids taking acoustic bikes that cost way more. However, adults who take e-scooters instead of ebikes to work have solid "working poor" energy

Using AI to comb YouTube reviews to determine "chinesium sentiment"

I still can't get past the idea that people in America are now supposed to accept that this is a valid form of law enforcement and just assume it's fine when random dudes in groups with face-coverings, no ID, no warrant, & no uniform grab people off the street and force them into unmarked vehicles

None of my writing uses AI. And my fact checks mainly use Bob W and @nocentino.com, so they aren’t made up facts from some computer.

I feel like I'm living through fiddler on the roof, but my daughters aren't even getting married.

Any time people talk about the high cost of child care while making clear they think providers are gouging or something, it makes me want to scream.

I’ve had big titles and IC titles. I can attest that you can make massive career defining impact as an IC with a lot of autonomy. I have made it a goal to find jobs where I’m given a lot of autonomy. Just bc you have a title doesn’t mean you get to call the shots.

This should shock no one mainly because rich parents lead to rich friends who can pay for expensive art.
