When I was in high school, my grandfather had surgery for a brain tumor. When he recovered, he was a completely different person. The hobbies we enjoyed together were no longer of interest to him. The brain is fragile and YOU are your brain.

Do you have personal experience with Fetterman or did you cover him directly pre-stroke? As a casual but constant observer this behavior does not seem inconsistent with public reporting of his pre-stroke, off-the-campaign-trail behavior. Isn't it more likely that he moderated for the campaign?

The people close to him have certainly noted changes so I take them at their word for that. But we can't blame everything on the stroke. Sometimes assholes have strokes and change personality and are still assholes.

I worked with stroke patients my whole career. You can certainly have personality changes. Though not typically with a left hemisphere stroke (which affected his language). Also likely all his brain arteries are occluded, it doesn’t happen in a vacuum.. unless he threw a clot

Right hemisphere strokes can affect cognition and especially impulse control. If that’s the case, he should not be in any decision making position. Same with frontal lobe damage
