What if a team could choose one at-bat in every game to send its best hitter to the plate even if it wasn’t that guy’s turn to hit?
@jaysonst.bsky.social introduces the Golden At-Bat concept, a rule that could invoke the ire of the baseball gods.

Aren't they... all... stars
A priest is called and they pour holy water in his eyes.
In the 7th inning, he wraps himself in a Babe Ruth blanket and won't come out of the dugout.
Hypothetically.
Ok!!!!!!!
instead of putting a guy on second, just have him walk the two extra bases and score a run.
put runners on first and third with two outs.
take out the centerfielder and one infielder.
make batters switch sides of the plate every pitch.
all those would be fun.
