NEW: Retailers like Walmart and Target that have rolled back their DEI efforts have seen a big drop in foot traffic, while Costco, a company that continues to invest in DEI, has seen more foot traffic. While correlation doesn't equal causation, still intriguing.

In reality, they aren’t changing anything about hiring practices. Companies do what’s good for business, and they long ago discovered a diverse workforce is good for business.
They should have just renamed everything quietly and carried on.
According to what I’ve read, Target does a far better job of caring for its employees in terms of pay and benefits than Walmart. Their minimum wage was higher than Costco when I last checked. Someone just needs to remind them where appeasement ends.😢

Costco 616 in USA
Target 1956 in USA
Walmart 4605 in USA
My money may not have a big impact but collectively OUR shopping choices do.
but the huge, sprawling, everywhere conversations about "why i'm quitting target and signing up for costco" does
i've seen it come up in all kinds of online groups, most of them not political topics
Much more so than normally.
Word is out me thinks. 😃👍👍👍🥰
The easiest way for Target to placate their angry former customers is to throw their CEO and/or board overboard. And if their sales drop, they might.
No, it ends up a change of habit, boycott implies I will be going back to these shops when it is over. When would it be over, when they reinstitute DEI policies? No, I shop at Costco, have for a long time. Their policies are far better.
Start by voting well.
