St Pancras Station is planning to triple passenger numbers and open up new cross-Channel routes to France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
The plans feature an enhanced departure area accommodating 5,000 passengers an hour, from the current 1,800.
Europe is so back, baby.

Comments
Inbound passengers to UK need to pass immigration & security.
Only Paris GdN, Lille Europe, Brussels & Amsterdam have airline style immigration/security/isolation.
It's impossible to process & isolate passengers at other euro stations.
One or two trains a day is difficult to justify rebuilding stations.
UK Border Force would need to staff controls in Milan/Cologne etc. Can’t see it being viable.
