Humans literally arent evolved—emotionally, mentally, psychologically—to deal with the volume of hate, vitriol & terror we see online daily. There is no precedent for the endless pings of global misery filling our brains at this scale.

What’s happening today with social media companies deciding to allow an ocean of hate speech is kinda like if all the TV networks back in 1997 decided they’d broadcast extreme X-rated content at random intervals on all the channels.

How many people would just largely stop watching TV?
