I GENUINELY thought TOTK was going to do a story DLC showing where all the Sheikah Tech went
An underground bunker as dark as the depths,
Somewhere in the ocean introducing underwater stuff,
A whole new island just covered in guardians where the divine beast are roaming again
Literally anything lol
I just wanted the world to be free of Ganondorf and Zelda to return. Then, you could finish the side quests and clear up the Gleeoks without any of them returning. Perhaps add a couple of side quests. But basically let you clean up the aftermath and start to set the world right.
A master mode and a single new dungeon, but more complex than the base game ones, related to its own storyline, and with its own cool bossfight. Basically what BotW had, but instead of splitting into two, focusing entirely on the "story+dungeon DLC".
What if they didn’t create a DLC because half the team was already hard at work on a Zelda for Switch 2 ? Would also explain better why the game took so long 🧐
I can see this going one of two ways. One, a brief alternate story mode that shows up as an option in the game's main menu. Two, a whole separate game (1/2).
Either way, this story mode/game would be titled, "The Legend of Zelda: The Sages of Time". We would play as Zelda and it would play like a hack and slash horde fighter game (i.e. Dynasty Warriors) (2/2).
Building DLC where you must build an entire city out of your inventory items and the little koroks go there to live and they commit crimes against each other unless you intervene with more building
I also kind of wanted a Hyrule Warriors style game exploring the past from Zelda's point of view. I think it would work, even if they did do an alternative timeline "what if" style game again.
Oh that would be really fascinating too. I wonder how Link and Zelda would have fared against mummy Ganondorf with all of the champions still alive (plus EGG). They also could use Terrako's time travel shenannigans to bring everyone back to the distant past
Maybe a side story where Zelda is playable and we get a more in-depth look in her journey 10,000 years ago. It could probably be similar to Ballad of the Champions in BOTW, where we learn how Zelda's relationships are with the Sages both in her and Rauru's time periods. I also wanted to know (cont)
The thing I wanted most - to play Zelda's story and really explore that ancient/new Hyrule. Her part of the story was so empty, they could have skipped it entirely, just changed her into a dragon when Ganondorf appeared, and we would have had FEWER questions. ☹
Also a Zelda sage avatar! She could've brought back the time lock feature or something. It would've been so cool! I was genuinely disappointed when the "secret" sage was revealed and it wasn't her.
I would have loved some focus on Sonia tbh 🥲
Could have had parts taking place in past where we're playing as Zelda and parts in the present playing as Link where we're meeting Sonia as a ghost.
Fix the Master Sword (like the Trial of the Sword) it drives me insane. Plus it's ugly how we are forced to fuse items on what should be one of the ultimate weapons in video game history?
Considering how heavily they used the sky portions of the game to keep the underground a secret, I was expecting more populated sky sections, or for the Rito to at least be more involved with exploring the floating land masses. I wasn't expecting Skyloft, but it just made the sky feel so empty.
More sky islands. Possibly above all the others and covering the whole map. The islands would be larger and smaller overall be more interesting to explore.
