I've been playing The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, the latest game from Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka and Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi, and it's great — a return to form after some whiffs from them both. It's part visual novel, part strategy RPG, and thoroughly entertaining

Don't usually buy games at launch, but decided to try the demo since they had one... The demo is like hours long. And just like with the Danganronpa 3 demo it's more than enough to hook you in. It's somewhat notable, to me, that they're doing such lengthy demos, but it works on me...

I'm not a fan of most strategy RPGs. The systems just don't jive with me. I don't like Live A Live or Fire Emblem. However, I am a very big fan of Zero Escape and Danganronpa. Do you think you'd still recommend the game?

The “holy crap, this game is how big” realization is one of the rarest and coolest for me. With so many ways to get game news it’s hard to get that surprise, not like when I had to wait for Nintendo Power to show up.

If I had one nickel for every indie-ish mystery game that came out in April whose clearly stated initial end-credits goal was a secret backdoor to a massive amount of secrets and lore, I'd have two nickels.

Wait, like... With minimal spoilers, is it one of those games that appears to be one thing, but then a few hours in turns into something much bigger (like The Messenger)? Or is it just "hey, the story is really cool and the mechanics get very in-depth as you go along"?
