This is unbelievable! His Lincoln Highway video is genuinely the best content I’ve ever consumed on YouTube. Actually life-changing. It changed my perspective on where I live, the society I live in, and consequently the context of who I am as a person.

We kept on Shadow of the Erdtree, but one topic we didn't discuss was toxicity in the fandom, as he's received a heap of it. Since we've gone patreon for BSC, we don't really get it much anymore, but every once in a while I remember "Oh yeah, someone has told me to kill myself over dark souls."

His QUAKE and GEARS OF WAR videos gave me a great understanding of big parts of the ecosystem that I had mostly ignored. I legit want to do a GEARS deep dive now if I ever get a modern Xbox.

A thing I *really* like and respect about Noah's work is that I feel like he never loses track of "Is this any good though?" There's a tendency in criticism, even good criticism, to sort of home in on a vibe, and then extrapolate what you want to say out of that. It gets a little fatiguing to me.

When I'm learning about a game, I want to know not just how the critic feels, but what the game is doing to make that happen, and is it successful. My least favorite game opinions boil down to, at the end of the day, "I liked it." This happens a lot with vibes based criticism, I find.
