I really feel this one. I’ve been talking about Clear Writing Standards since I was elected. The confusion of these notices was actually what got me involved in municipal politics. Hoping to make some progress on this before the end of the term.

One thing I was able to do was start a Clear Writing workshop for staff. It was offered in 2023 and had 120 open spots for 3 hour workshops. My team and I took it and it was great. Next step - making it mandatory for everyone who writes for the public.

That was the hope of the original offerings. We have had many changes since then, with at least one more on the horizon. Soon, I hope.
