Best I can tell the calculus from the Democratic leadership is: Lean back, let Trump fail, then inherit the windfall. Again. Problem is people are going to fucking die while they do short weeks and go off on fancy congressional trips.

The hubris they believe that people who put 🩸🥵 and 😢 into their campaigns are going to show up. Vote for them? Sure. But donate, call, door knock? Nope. I’m focused on building bench of new leaders who will stand for something.
Democrats once again thinking "We will win by default because everyone can see the other guys are terrible!" and then do nothing to prove they're actually GOOD for anything.
It's like Skynet just declared war on humanity and the Dems are calling a sales rep to see if their insurance will cover it.
And Ukraine has been thrown to the wolves by the republicans, not satisfied with the thousands of Ukrainians who died needlessly when they halted aid for 5 months.
And the future for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank is dire.
Ain't looking good for us, either.
This I agree with. If Republicans are climbing a ladder then Democrats (or whoever hates Republicans) should be kicking the ladder. Too many brainiacs in politics think it's a debate contest when it's a street fight.
I def understand and it’s easy for me to say, not being one of them but at some point we need to let the people see/have what they voted for and quit saving them from it so they grow the F up
Same calculus for impeachment (Republicans will join), Judicial branch (the courts will handle it) and the election (Biden/Harris will make it go away).
I wrote an outline for a WWE style campaign launch video that would tell an easy to understand story about us being in an existential battle between those who worship death and those who love life. Trying to share because I don't think I'm the right person to bring this idea to life.
Stop voting for Trump's cabinet. Stop voting for things like the Laken Riley Act. Talk to their constituents in person. Have someone at the White House spying on President Musk's moves. Keep the electorate informed in person since media is in blackout mode.
All for most of those. Not sure how the White House spy thing works. That said, I don’t see how any of it changes anything at this point. I would very much like to be wrong about that.
Trump “failing” involves him wrecking 100 years worth of the invisible scaffolding of society and people realizing it sucks. Good luck replacing it. We can’t wait
If getting spanked in another winnable general election wasn't enough for Democrats them to fire the consultant class feeding them this nonsense, nothing will be.
It also means that it has not occurred to them that Trump and company will be coming after them. Once again the Dems show they are not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
No windfall. In addition to the bipartisan sentiment that “they’re all the same”, the Dem base will rightly remember the lack of critical response their party had when it could have taken a stand. The Dems will take a hit even harder than the MAGAts, because who trusts a party that betrays them?

This is why I trash every fundraising appeal from the D party. Not giving to those who want to just sit on their asses.
If they’re leaders, they need to fucking lead.
