There are a lot of people going along, like business as usual. "We'll get'em next time," convinced there will be a "next time" in 4 years... or even 2 years. I hope they're right, but I'm not entirely convinced.

In the good old days, if one tyrant wiped out a good portion of humanity, eventually the population would rebound. In these days, what with climate and nukes, we're playing close to the edge. So I share your misgivings. Also, human nature is coded for self-destruction.

I'm with you. I used to be a conservative evangelical. The reason they backed TFG was because they knew he was stupid and could be bought. They traded the votes of their congregations for the opportunity to put federalists or other sycophants in key positions. Their goal is to dominate, not govern.

Same here. In all my 70 yrs I've never seen anyone enter politics (much less become President at all) who is as much of a criminal as T-rump & family & everyone who seems to idolize him.

Having come from 48 years in the evangelical conservative church, I can tell you with no hesitation they have NO intention of ever allowing Democrats to regain power. I left in 2016 when I finally (I know, I'm kinda slow sometimes) realized what they wanted to do. Their goal is totalitarianism.

It's alright. I've have 3 1/2 years to come to terms with it. I still believe that TFG caused my cancer to metastasize after 8 years being cancer free.
