Many of these forests are centuries old life systems that contain a collective intelligence that takes centuries to create. The whole system is in communication with itself & contains a community of mutually beneficial plant & animal collections that are specific to regions & unique to forests.

This is actually the central question, and the one I’m sure CBD and other groups will bring up in litigation. The general idea is EOs flow from Article II’s mandate that the prez take care that laws are enforced. If there’s no law (and by extension, reg) allowing this, it would be unconstitutional.

Thank you 🙏 I’m Canadian and grew up watching every tree being targeted and we lost so much natural beauty, whole ecosystems . It’s better now but protecting nature is in all of our best interests.
