Oh this is so cool. I imprinted on Death’s Master and Black Unicorn at an early age and to this day when I think of beautiful purple prose I think of her.

I looked throught the back stacks in the library I work in for anything we had - her kids' is on a par with LeGuin. The sole adult work I found was Forests of the Night - a 1989 collection which had the Gorgon amongst other stories. Amazing stuff - Angela Carter, Barker and so many other flavours.

She wrote two fantastic episodes of the 1970s TV show Blake's 7, too - Sarcophagus and Sand. And a radio play starring the lead actor from one of those episodes - The Silver Sky.
