I've never played EarthBound, but judging by the name it must be largely similar to Homestuck. Please note: I am not seeking criticism of this opinion at this time

EarthBound opinions aside, I would very much like to criticize your apparent belief that social media judgement only comes to those who seek it. In this 🧵 I'll... 1/382
I suspect Ryan North is familiar enough with Toby Fox that you could've just referred to him by name. Probably would've even known who you meant if you had just called him Radiation.
Fair enough, but he's friends with Andrew Hussie, and Toby spent a pretty significant fraction of Undertale's early development living in Hussie's basement, or so the legends go.
I was disappointed to learn that the term "egg bound" in human terms is a colloquialism in my region and not the globally understood term for needing more dietary fibre and less white bread.
I once got trapped in a bathroom and someone had to kick the door down. I figure if I got stuck in egg I’d just exit chick-style then lay feathery and wet on the pavement.
homestuck rules although I do think there's at least a small "you had to be there" element to it lost in re-reads; the irregular update schedule kept people on the edges of their seats, you had people installing apps that alerted them to new updates and stuff like that.
kinda like the diff between shows that get released all at once vs weekly, not that either is bad or wrong but I do think the shows ultimately hit differently cuz of it
Jokes aside, please play Earthbound. It is goofy, whimsical, funny, endearing, fun and has some incredible, unique RPG systems that still hold up to this day.
☝️Um, akschually, the original title of EarthBound is 'MOTHER 2', meaning any correlations between it and Homestuck are completely baseless & unfounded.
True fans know that Homestuck was inspired by Undertale, which was inspired by those striped-shirt kids from Smash Bros.

It’s a game?
Because I feel like I understand it if so.
