In our 7x7 mile city, SF now has 75 miles of transit-only lanes. Result:
- Buses up to 35% faster
- 50% reduction in injury collisions on transit corridors
- Highest public approval rating since 2001
- Over 10 lines exceeding pre-COVID ridership

Are there any plans to bring back the 49? Love the new transit lanes on Van Ness but it pains me there’s no Caltrain connection. The last mile from Caltrain to Civic Center area is painful.

Can I talk to you (or your staff) about this? At our program at Marron we looked at buses a few years ago and would like to return to this, and one of the things we're looking at is the impact of dedicated lanes on speed and ridership.
