Hey. Just so you know, you're not obliged to forgive someone, ever. Even if they seem to feel sorry. Even a relative.
The offending party doesn't get to decide the timeline after an apology. Forgiveness is -your- choice. Carry grudges to the grave if you want.
Nobody is owed a pardon.

How about no?
And some things are fucking unforgivable.
Now I just laugh, shake my head, and move on.
People forget that before an apology there needs to be sincere repentance, in the form of acts of contrition and acknowledgement of wrongdoing.
Forgiveness need not be freely given, or granted at all.
I live comfortably with the fact that I will never forgive my son’s murderers.
I owe them nothing, least of which peace of mind.
“I don’t have the energy to hate you anymore”
I don’t have time to engage with negativity anymore,
im too old and too sick to waste my remaining time on grudges or negativity.
Thank you.
You get to decide what’s best for your own peace, not the person who hurt you.
I don't think either is all right or all wrong .
I move on and sometimes forgive , sometimes don't . Love most , trust few . If I cannot trust for a reason I cannot truly say I have forgiven .
I've been told recently "it's time to forget"....
Yeah....has hell frozen over yet?
And they will always be someone we don’t want in our lives.
Most important is to not let it disturb your peace.
Let it go.
Some unforgivable things will never be forgiven no matter how much penitive phlegm they wear.
