DDG over Firefox browser is an excellent start. Presuming you’re on desktop, I’d recommend uBlock and Privacy Badger, and then configuring DNS over HTTPS. If you want to get fancy, then you can start hardening the browser further through about:config.
Oh, and in the even you want to be able to get Google search results, you can use Startpage to do so without information leakage to Google. (I can’t remember when I last felt the need to do this, but it’s there if you require it.)
And that’s a very reasonable motive! I stress the other privacy-enhancing measures as they will further reduce the exposure of your monetisable data to said fascist-enablers at Google, Meta et al.
