Coming too! It was getting difficult to find AirBnBs but there are still some hotel rooms (there is a Ibis budget not too far from the conf center, listed on the IAVCEI page)

Happy you will come. There are suggestions on the website (https://sa2025.iavceivolcano.org/destination/), tram line 15 has a stop in front of the congres center (UNIMAIL), public transport is free and there is nothing really far in Geneva (even the airport is 10 minutes from the center by train).

I know about some of the suggestions. It's still... A lot. For a solo traveller who is too old and tired to share dorm rooms with strangers.

Understood. In general you can stay anywhere in Geneva and you will not be far from the center and the conference, with secure transport until late (including the airport)

Sending my PhD student to the Goldschmidt IAVCEI EMPG combo, but I'm staying in Australia for the time being... Kids don't like their dad away for too long and I already have other conferences this year.
