But one big problem is that revenue depends mostly on the amount of attention/ clicks
And more divisive/ hateful content gets more clicks
And makes more money
Looking up something pretty uncontentious like "origin of atolls" I used to get this metric I found useful for accuracy and quality. Now I just get the algorithm with a small grey tone popularity number
We should not be blind to the idea that this likely reduces productivity.
