I absolutely respect a manager who asks questions and respects questions. Whenever I've had to train someone, I make it a point to tell them to ask me 500 times if they aren't sure. I'll keep answering the same questions until they feel confident enough to teach it all to the next person.

I don't know if you ever saw the episode where he and Chef Jose Andres went to Asturias, Spain. There was a moment where Chef Jose talked about Tony, and it made me cry. It's almost as if he could see what was coming.

This is something I have tried so hard to teach our kids. Speak up! Ask questions. Also, volunteer. Raise your hand even if you don't know what the request is - could be fun and it's better than sitting on your butt being bored. Whoever is asking for help is going to remember you positively for it.
