People who talk about “student behaviors” as if they’ve magically declined without addressing any of the structural inequities in/around education get a side-eye from me.

But the solution went from super punitive to…nothing, in most cases.
I struggle to get my colleagues to understand this or see the system and how it works. They can’t the systems see beyond the school campus.
