My school’s graduating almost 800 this year. I was asked to be a reader, and for the first time in my career, I declined. I will cheer, I will hug, I will high five. Someone else can take the mic this time around.

We always had the students fill out their name phonetically for how it’s pronounced on slips of paper alongside their full name to help with pronunciation, along with practicing.

Graduation is literally the scariest part of my entire job for me. I have actual nightmares and sleeping panic attacks over it. I definitely work hard to ensure there aren't any mistakes but I'm so paranoid I'll cough or sneeze or my voice will rattle or etc etc
