A key observation about nearly every one of the arguments against birthright citizenship; that all of them simply ignore the actual text of the Constitution in favor of a version that exists purely in their own heads.

They’re just following the Supreme Court precedent, when they reinterpreted the clear language in the 14A insurrection clause to allow Trump to remain on the Colorado ballot.
The minute you cross the border into a foreign country you are subject to their jurisdiction, unless you're a diplomat. This is the case now and it always has been. These people should be sanctioned by the bar just for suggesting otherwise.
Unfortunately their evil argument does have a precedent in the exclusion of Native Americans from citizenship until the 1924 Indian Citizenship Act. I can see the court leaning heavily on that to justify this bullshit.
Thankfully not accurate. The court in Wong Kim Ark, including the very same justice who ruled in the case on Native America citizenship, addressed and dismissed that exact argument.
Is this a tactic endorsement by the Trump administration for re-interpreting the second amendment to take into consideration the gun violence epidemic, which wasn't an issue when it was drafted???
