Hem, no one's talking about the last sebtence of the interview? "The officers took the two persons with him he doesn't know why".
Like, he was apparently with two people, that are probably not illegals since he doesn't seem to like illegals, and they were taken somewhere just like that....
I've read the article, nothing there either. It's like "Yeah, ICE took two people, but we can't interview them so they dont matter".
I guess they were his friebds otherwise why were they in his car? But it doesn't seem to bothe him. He's just upset that HE was controlled XD
This is going to be for Latinos nationally what Prop 187 was to California in 1994: the thing that shows them that no amount of attempting Anglo adjacency will ever make them White enough for Republican base voters and leaders.
I really want to understand what these people imagine when they say things like this. Like, how they imagine this functionally works. I feel like they imagine someone opening The Big Book of Criminals and just going down the list or some other childish nonsense.
The petty bourgeois contingent of Latinos are quickly seeing that Trump support means nothing to ICE. The white liberals in the replies seem to love the idea of a brown man getting brutalized by the system to which I ask them, what makes yall different?
In this case, the victim happens to be Hispanic, but I think the reaction is more that someone, anyone, who voted for Trump despite liberals telling them what would happen, experiences that thing actually happening to them, the "I told you so" reaction is reasonable.
Brent, are you really explaining the nuances of deportation and its effect on Latino communities to me, a Guatemalan amerikan, in this long count of the white man 2025
I'm not talking about deportation, I'm talking about the liberal reaction to Trump voters experiencing the consequences of their vote. You said it was about white liberals being joyful that it's a Hispanic person affected. I don't think it's that specific.
I mean, sure, leopards faces and all that. But, honestly, it always comes back to this. They think he's supposed to be "hurting people", it just shouldn't be them.
Definitely FAFO, and when the government has the funding and the contracts in place for mass deportation, he may get to experience this experience again and again
Yeah that's what I thought, if nex time he's arrested without his driver licence, off he goes, somewhere. Hopefully in an hispanic country from which he can go back, or in the worst case, Guantanamo or Panama.....
you have to understand its self selection in the same form as hiring a Priest....if you fail to probe the motivation of the applicant you get people who want to lock up people based upon race rather than law...not to mention guess which militant groups recruit ICE employees due to such issues.
Sometimes I think they say this because they do not want to be targeted by other Trump people now that they are the subject of a news article with their full gov. name out there.
"I tell you what, I've been arrested ten times now just for being Hispanic, and have spent a total of 20 days in jail for it! Absolutely unacceptable. You hear that, President Trump? If this continues, I'm going to have to vote for Democr- ...Democraaa..... No. No I just can't do that."
These voters were warned. Plus, we’ve been through his bs once before. Why do people not listen? Why don’t they pay attention? Why are they so dumb? I don’t have ill wishes for people who voted for him… but, come on!!!!
I've said this elsewhere, but Trump's ability to convince people who he openly hates that he will give them specifically a pony is magical. Basically a super-power.
Zero sympathy for this guy. He'd vote for Trump again in a heartbeat because, in his heart of hearts, he thinks he's "one of the good ones" who won't be targeted. Even AFTER he was specifically targeted.
Sure, you can't change the past, but you can change the future. And that's where my concern lies. I want to win. Trump hurting his supporters is a boon to our side. Or rather, it ought to be. Responses of "no sympathy for him!"/FAFO/LAMF/etc. do not help us win. In fact, they make it harder.
This is the purest strain of leopard regret yet. Dudes who voted for ethnic cleansing and gambled that federal authorities wouldn't be racist about it.
"reconsidering his support" LOL. Bro, Trump deployed the full force of the state against you and people who look like you for literally no reason. If that doesn't get you to "fuck this guy get him out of office" I don't know what to tell ya. I mean, hopefully he tells his friends and they change.
I do think diversification is going to have to be the course from here on. Bring the lions into it, polar bears, orcas. Leaving all the work for the leopards will only leave them disgruntled eventually.

Spoiler alert: To them, you are the "undesirable,".... for some reason that I can't quite put my finger on.

This guy thought Trump was going to target Black people, not white (which this voter almost certainly identifies as) citizens.
He's fairly racist, but a lot of his racism is very specifically against black people. The Obama years utterly broke his fucking brain.
Similarly, most anti-queer folks believe gay men are sinful, but trans women are the embodimemt of evil, the annihilators of man.

But you probably needed to listen to better sources of info
hey should have deported ths fucking idiot for the crime of sedition........and for being stupid.
they just didn't realize that they were one of the bad people
The real question is whether his faith in Trump was shook badly enough that he'll realize he made a mistake.
Sorry this happened to him.
Might want to get on the right side of your HOA president as soon as possible, people.
Wrong
Again it’s going to be a long four years for this ignorant fuck
Trump is actively harming his supporters, and that's a wonderful opportunity for those who oppose him.
😆
He was wrong.
