I can't find the exact post, but @cstross.bsky.social said he's had to stop writing his modern Cthulhu mythos horror stories because actual reality is becoming weirder and more horrific than monsters from other dimensions coming to earth and trying to eat us all.
Also SNL, Jon Stewart, Colbert, et al. It gets increasingly difficult to be funny when you're attempting to satirize a regime that is so unhinged, evil, and vindictive.
Have I Got News For You, USA, is good. We watch it on YouTube, along with the original BBC show. If you didn't catch Roy on the BBC HIGNFY last November, check it out.
