We must do everything in our power to push back and protect people from harm.

I'm not sure these kinds of statements from electeds are what they appear at face value. I think they're really talking to each other and trying to forge a consensus. I think they're more like the calls for Trump's first impeachment or the post-debate urgings for Biden to consider stepping down.
