These are self imposed fiscal rules.
Self imposed.
Labour are choosing to push 50,000 children into poverty to signal to wealth & capital that they're on their side.
Disgusting. Sick. Broken.

Military spending is not the problem. Refusal to close the inequality gap and redistribute some of that unearned wealth of the parasitic "elite". There's enough money, it's just greedy, amoral people's hands.
imo Starmer is using his experience as a lawyer and ex cop to abuse the system. The Human Rights Act and Equality Act are "advisory" in this govt's mind.
It's pointless in every way
And unnecessarily cruel
In fairness they didn’t lie to us because they kept it all under wraps (which was hailed as masterful electioneering)
- from the Save the Children charity
The current Labour policy is a direct decendent of Cameron`s Big Society. His Big Society failed. Folks got poorer and less empowered. But Starmer and Reeves have resurrected the Zombie Frankenstein andnnow we have to go thru it all again.
It will be Johnson’s boosterism on steroids.
Anyone who says we aren’t doing well will be guilty of the treason of talking the country down.
Funny thing about human history - people never react well to losing things that should be permanent. Like dignity.
Just saying that two aircraft carriers that cannot be crewed properly (if they are working at all) might stroke the ego and make some thump their chest with national pride. I rather the kids be fed and the UK not be investigated by the UN for breach of human rights.
If you'd said the carriers were a waste and we could have better spent the money I'd agree.
To lift the poorest I'd not drop military spending.
If children going hungry is so bad (yes I think it is) I don't understand why more people aren't properly ripping into the rich who could step in and help.
There is also though the fact that it is the obscenely rich that are raking in profits in the "defense" industry.
I am going to ignore you now, the wit is too much. Your metaphors are at a level that is just "sigma".
Cannot possible deal with such airtight arguments.
Just amazing. You should be proud today. Really put me in my place.
Bravo sir, bravo.

Starmer and Reeves have no clue.
Nakedly Tories.
Minimum wage is not a living wage.
Many people can't work, we have excessive emphasis on business needs and work. Over trying to enable everyone a good life. (No I'm not saying people shouldn't work, also there's a lot of unpaid work done)
