Basically agree with this. We truly are a nation of “temporarily embarrassed millionaires”, attacking the aspiration (however fantastical) rather than the system and the fairness of redistribution in crisis is not going to win the middle

Agreed up to a point. But the main thing, in terms of comms, is it's unhelpful. People want to see their lives improve. They're not interested in seeing other people's worsen. 'Abolish billionaires' as an isolated headline - and it will be, as here - is a negative message, not a positive one.

I'm in the middle of watching it as I write this and don't know about the latter except that Greens are already working with Independents. But he says in the interview that he wants to get trade unions to recognise Labour is a lost cause and move to the Greens.

I know the more immediate question is pulling Labour to the left, but I think it's urgent to have a vision of major success too, along with the costed manifesto credible with every reasonable person who gives it an honest look.

Answering these questions positively would make the Greens far more attractive and be good for your stated political goals. As it is socialist cllrs & MPs like Corbyn see your party as too unreliable, detached from the labour movement and splitting the vote, so are stuck setting up their own party.

I prefer having trade unions getting close to the party leadership with easy communication but in terms of voting power, it should remain democratic - one person one vote, with direct voting from the party members.

I just watched this and thought it was very agreeable.

Comments on defence and foreign policy were better than the original impression by Byline.

NB: NATO Article 5 is not an automatic trigger but agree a certain unreliable partner is an awkward situation.
