Magnetism can affect non-ferrous materials if it's strong enough. Frogs are non-ferrous, they're not even metallic, but scientists were able to levitate one in a 16 Tesla (unit of magnetic flux) field. https://www.science.org/content/article/floating-frogs

The units for Tesla are hilariously small looking.
The strongest MRI machines on earth only do about 11.5T. Earth itself is only ~50 microTesla at the strongest.

Always had to wonder if he's not just inducing massive eddy currents in a material and causing it to generate a magnetic field that way that he could manipulate.
