I think this story lends itself to a series though, because it can be episodic. Luke's war is a big scree story, his quest to rebuild the Jedi order isn't as climactic.

As a person who didn't really follow SW until mando; YES. I love world building and seeing deep lore portrayed (see b5) watch the character grow as the world evolves around them. See how luke becomes the jaded old man we see later.

I don't know, I think I'd prefer more stuff like Skeleton Crew that doesn't revolve around, or even include, popular characters. They could take a break from Skywalkers and Mandolorians for a few years and give us more stories about normal, working class space-folk pulled into an epic adventure.

No, probably not. I like that they’ve gotten away from the Luke, Han, and Leia content that dominated Legends. It’s a big galaxy with lots of storytelling potential beyond the core cast of the films and animated series. I’d rather see that.

A Luke-centered storyline could be full of action, drama, all the stuff that makes Star Wars ✨special✨.

What would ruin it, would be turning it into the next Fast and Furious franchise, where it's just like, oh they're gonna go EVEN deeper into space.

This is not something I’m remotely interested in. Having the blanks in the story gives a fullness to it. The mistake (for instance) with Solo was filling in the details of a story we’d heard. It should’ve been a whole new Han Solo adventure with all new quips about other Han Solo adventures.

If it in any way resembles the EU, hard pass. And btw, an endless story about a singular character whose last name already encompasses 9 films is not what “we actually want”, at least not all SW fans. There’s a lot of us who’d like to never hear the word Skywalker in a film or show ever again.
