UPDATE: Joseph Corcoran has been killed by the state of Indiana.
A reporter from the Indiana Capital Chronicle, Casey Smith, was allowed to witness the execution, after Corcoran added her to his witness list.
From what the editor-in-chief says here, the execution took around 40 minutes.

to his list, no journalist would have been present. Indiana doesn't allow media witnesses.
There are many reasons why it should be abolished.
Unless you can 100%, beyond any doubt whatsoever prove a person in a death penalty case did it, the sentence should be life without the possibility of parole.
Too many people on Death Row have been released thanks to the Innocence Project.
I can’t believe that they tried to have execution without any witness. I was convinced that some 1st Amendment thing applied to the coverage of execution…adding a journalist to the inmate’s list saved them from another lawsuit.
