The same oligarchs who claim they hate government handouts are almost entirely reliant on government handouts themselves. Some would say it is hypocritical. But remember that hypocrisy is merely an expression of power.

Countless of them got their start by accepting funding by the very government they now are accusing of giving people handouts.
They personify hypocrisy!
In the US many foreign born doctors staff rural hospitals and towns. Cutting Medicaid will decimate the financial support of those hospitals and all nursing homes ( 2/3 of nh pts are on Medicaid).
Loss of the hospital, those jobs and health services will kill many small towns.
And yes, it seems as if some think they are impervious to Medicaid cuts. I hope they have extra rooms in their home for their elderly parents who can’t even self-pay at a SNF, because they will close.
I am so sad. And I am trying to do what I can by launching a platform to talk about medical care. But I can’t provide it.
But I can tell you don’t take Motrin and napper Sun. Either Tylenol or Norco is the way to go.
Years ago I was a consultant for a collaborative of CAHs. Other than taxpayer funding, which was not even remotely enough to overcome the ratio of Medicaid and charity care patients, they counted on federal grants to sustain themselves. Including their requirement for a 24/7 ER. What now?
Critical Access Hospitals. That’s the name given to these rural facilities that are federally funded as long as they have an ER open 24/7. In most cases they are way out in the sticks.
They are taxing districts, meaning that they are supported through taxpayer funding. But it’s never enough.
This is why I insist they're not hypocrites, they're supremacists and liars. They know that they're violating the beliefs they claim to profess. It's a tactic. They believe they should be able to do anything they want whenever they want to whomever they want with zero consequences ever.
Dr. Marcus, do you mean: Hypocrisy is the ability to create and enforce unequal standards as a clear demonstration of power. Those in positions of power can act with impunity, while those without power are subject to enforcement.
Yes. Every high profile display of anti-intellectualism, science denial, abuse, and hypocrisy is a form of proselytization; both sermon and siren call to the unrighteous.
