My son has a higher security clearance in his job than Poilievre does in the Federal government.
In order for my son to do his job, which he cannot talk to anyone about because it is part of National Security, so why are we not all pissed off right now because Poilievre does not have his?

In what world does it make any sense that a political “LEADER” prefers to be able to speak at will on topics that are sensitive enough to be classified as a threat to the nation over the security of the country? I CALL BULLSH!T!!!
I don’t see how he can be PM without it and it’s extremely concerning that he won’t even do what your son and many public servants/RCMP/military do regularly because …. his argument makes ZERO sense.
If any other Canadian job seeker refused to obtain a required security clearance, it would be disqualifying.
Why does he warrant an exception?
What do we do?
I had an idea for a petition to force leaders to get security clearance.
It was too difficult to find 5 supporters to submit to Our Commons.
Not specifically for national security, but electoral reform and healthcare type issues.
Take a handful of people from each prov, spend 6 months to a year educating them on a topic. Let the committee decision be binding.
It was amazing how in depth the interview went.
Thinking of the people in his immediate orbit I don't think slogan boy could pass.
If you type 'slogan boy' into search it's quite interesting.
Each party could choose to implement this voluntarily; no need to change federal elections laws to achieve it.
If Cons refuse to adopt it, their whole party looks bad.
Foreign interference allegedly helped PP get elected and the party / people don’t seem to care.
Would be ideal if a Commons petition was on, Gov has to respond if more than 500 sign the petition.
There have been new petitions go live after proroguing.
And he lies.

I did leave a mark. There was an earthquake kit in the house. I put a note in it with, what I felt were key instructions: 1. Grab box of wine 2. Run! And during the bomb cyclone I was ready with my wine (and espresso machine and radio)to run to the old 140yr old light. I figured it was safe.
I trust it wasn't Green Island!
It's not often spoken around Toronto...it's a keeper!
-the economy
-the central bank
-the environmental crisis
-women's reproductive health ...

If a person doesn't have access to Nat.Sec. intelligence, they don't need clearance.
PP's motto should be "ignorance is bliss" because he is a master at ensuring his own ignorance.

Around a third of Canadian voters think his philosophy is smart.

I "temp"-ed for the gov't for a period of time. Justice Dept. I had greater security clearance as a Temp than PP has.
You had a police background check, huge difference.
