Thank you so much for sharing this. This is my friend, Dr Lynn Cominsky effort to save her program. I taught for over 20 years at the SRJC and I can’t tell you how many students I had transferred SSU to get their physics degree and then go on to get PhD’s. It’s a huge hit to the community.

They tried to close the physics and religion programs at my work last year (because who needs curiosity or wonder, I guess?). Thankfully we managed to stop them but I was really shocked by the inclusion of physics as I'd just assumed sciences were safe, very eye opening to me.
