OK, did a little bit of looking and it's the Gaelic Coen, not the Jewish one. A disappointment, certainly.

I mean, if the man ain’t a member of the tribe with that name, I’d be surprised.

Not disputing, just mentioning that Coen can also be derived from an Irish name (McCowen). And his first name is definitely Irish.
