How do social media sites political leanings compare? Yesterday I did a poll on all platforms I'm on bar Tiktok. The results listed side by side are fascinating
As they're self-selecting polls, it's less about absolute vote & more about relative weights of those on each platform who chose to vote

The older the platform, the more balanced your following.
I suppose being conservative and being an early adopter don't really go together.
But I suspect it's skewed because almost everybody I know that when you talk to them are definitely right wing, describe themselves as 'plain speaking middle of the road'
Which makes twitter look really bad
And the ones who possessed enough intelligence to read between the lines.
They left the platform.
For some reason many 'right' people prefer to call themselves 'centre' - this doesn't seem to apply to 'left' people.
The 'right' impression given by exTwitter is more about bots and sheer noise from the 'right', rather than mere numbers.
You have a 'leftish' reputation. Woke, even. 😎
Happening right now, same with the adults too, unless you got 2k a month you could die.
Anyone care? Nope....
PS As these come from my social media followers, there is a possible bias there, but it is a consistent bias across platforms
If this bias does exist, why do you think more right leaning users would not follow you? Are they not interested in your insights on finance? It’s intriguing, as I did not think you would have a polarised audience.
Can’t see many well-off people too bothered about making small savings here and there. Richer people will have financial advisors and probably lean more to the right overall.
Interesting, because I see more posts about interests and hobbies compared to politics.
Vs say Twitter which is just right wing everywhere. You're even allowed to be a racist and a Nazi.
Even my normal Twitter account is flooded.
