I could totally be wrong, but have we seen this sheer amount of breathless "stop hitting yourself"-style victim blaming in recent memory? Remarkably frightening how it's become a mainstream justification of atrocity-by-any-other-name.
"Yes, Minister" still hits because it covered a unique and hidden area of British politics: ministerial civil service. Also Armando's point wasn't that art imitating life makes it less funny, more that it's less fun to write art when everything is derivative of life!
