There are a few games coming out this year that I can't wait for but yeah, I feel it’d just be smart for gamers to save their money and get to their backlogs. Hell, at least half the games I own I have not touched. Should really do that though I've been saving Elden ring…

In 2024 I started playing only indie games or games under about $40 CAD (Monster Hunter Wilds exception).

I played just as many good games in 2024 as any other year, I just saved more money and supported better developers.

One exception I'd make is smaller indie titles. The OFF remake coming out later this year definitely has my attention, but it should be relatively inexpensive. Definitely much cheaper than a AAA $80 game.
