Speaking of which, who investigates if shady investments were made, say when a commodity like coffee is manipulated in a manufactured incident? Asking for a country.
Good morning! The only thing missing there is a croissant and then you'd have an authentic Parisian 3C breakfast: croissant, café, and cigarette. 😏 Bonne journée!
Several years ago we sat down in a restaurant, and my friend took this picture. They said I looked like the "Lucky Strike" girl in the poster behind me. 😁
That is the most profoundly beautiful object our species has ever produced, and I’m including both the Sistine Chapel and the Millennium Falcon in that.
Never a smoker, but I’m fascinated by smoking culture in the mid 20th century. Have you seen the cup-saucer-ashtray that Homer Laughlin made for their Harlequin line? Perfect for those ladies’ bridge afternoons.
Not a smoker either but I love this cup. I love seeing history through cultural objects! Thanks for posting. I’ll make a note of this in my ‘antique’ notes.
We collected Homer Laughlin for decades and I was never able to find one of these. Well, on eBay for outrageous enough prices that I just couldn’t make it work.

Good morning, sir. ☕️
1979?
Iconic.
His name wasn't Jules, and he wasn't French, or a man.
But yeah.
Of course the french version is a wine glass.
