I have some trauma from cat sitting that made me reluctant to get a cat. I prefer to admire them from afar (or up close when I am at someone’s house who has a cat). They seem more delicate creatures than dogs, and I get nervous about messing up. Dogs are like a bike and cats are like a helicopter.
