Questing Beast/ Ben Milton / the Knave guy is now being sponsored by a publisher that had a "Meltdown sale" to celebrate 'triggering the libs' after the US election; 47% off (and, side bonus, AI image to advertise).
This is not his first foray into this shit. His defense is "No Politics"

Like many others I had heard that Milton was an apologizer for some shit stuff before, but this is really the nail in the coffin.
Choosing to keep platforming bigots when there's a myriad of indie designers out there is taking a political position. "No politics" is a loud dogwhistle.
It's not *impossible,* but.
Now nobody knows how to act since election season started
There are people who design within ~ OSR that aren't white #swordDream
But I struggle to think of Black designers in OSR
But if you want Black TTRPG? Easy! I didn't make these lists, I just think they're neat.

We'll see.
Sigh 😭
There's a video on his channel with Ben, Kelsey and (drumroll) Mike Mearls... From like 6 months ago.
They very quickly got the boot because every single one of them was...offensively stupid and bigoted.
Six is a *lot* to encounter at once, which suggest you found one of the corners.
Mask went off in three waves, kind of.
1; Wheelchairs in Fantasy RPGs.
2; Orc family for that new DnD edition.
3; That picture of Heroes Feast.
Which only means "not a part of the scenes I know", really.
YEAHHHHHhhhhh.......
Just gotta discard the shitters, move on, and retain the ones who are cool.
Very disappointing.
I guess it was “triggering” for my high school when that kid called on a bomb threat.
Or when there was an active shooter on campus.
But yeah, it's not a new direction, like, at all.
It is certainly more overt; and apparently the good pilgrim hasn't read his Corinthians. Bad company despoiling morality and all that.
But this is who he has been for ages now. He's just hiding less. Escalation, as a term, feels like it could be walked-back. But this is him.
Perhaps an escalation in that it reveals more fully that he views dignity as a mercenary. He walked back things once, but only for greed - claiming morality when pressed.
What a spineless little worm. "No Politics" indeed.
Allegedly.
And not everyone's gotta be perfect, but it's a disappointing trajectory of repeat hand-washing that it'd be naive to ignore at this point (this one is so far over the line too wtf)
And yet, he's quibbled about these things using faith as a defense. He defies his moral barometer time and again. Its wretched.
Fuck the status quo and its fundamental injustice.
Anyway. That's enough politics for me this morning I need breakfast!
