Fucking wild they just steal her art and put it in marvel snap, take a idk 70% commission as marvel on the art and give 0 to her. Other creators of equal star power get contracts with snap, apparently you don’t need one if you have a backlog of enough characters on covers.

In all fairness to the situation, pretty much any art created for Marvel Comics is then owned by Marvel. This goes back since the beginning and it is part of the contract agreement. I believe I have heard that if Marvel Snap makes an artist agreement, it is directly through Second Dinner.

Yeah, that is my understanding that there are a few talented individuals whose name i won't mention because i don't want this to somehow become an attack on them, who get direct second dinner contracts, while people like Alex Ross and Jen Bartel just get their art used for 20 real world dollars

Yeah I can't remember who it was, but there was another top tier cover artist who was saying the same thing last year. It's a big reason why DC has a lot of the higher caliber artists right now.

Marvel needs to fire CB, not just for grossly exploiting overseas talent, but also for the fucking disgusting pretending to be a samurai pen name shit. He should have been fired on the spot for that, and now he is alienating top tier talent by cutting projects(Al Ewing) or underpaying them or both.
