Oh it’s on our radar. Most folks I know 1) don’t think it’ll be particularly impactful, 2) are broke, and 3) will be participating anyway.

Even if you could get the country to agree to not buy anything for one day, no corps would be concerned since we would just buy more shit the next day to make up for it. If we could do it for a whole month, that might scare them enough to react but for most of us, that is physically impossible.

It’s a good idea and could be impactful with widespread adoption, but it doesn’t seem to have enough organization to get big enough to make a dent. Based on who I’ve heard talking about it I assume it’s primarily a Facebook thing which limits its reach quite a lot.
