I'm either going soft or I'm mellowing. I've spent the afternoon assembling flat pack furniture, without a single swear word, throwing anything or saying 'Oh, fuck this!'

I did ok with the NEXT side board on Saturday at my daughter’s house. I did less well with the FUCKING so-called easy fit TV wall bracket. The instructions were useless. I’ve also stretched my hamstring which was bloody painful on the Monday morning dog walk.
Yes I’m in my mid 70’s 6ft 5in replacement bits and pieces kneeling down getting up multiple times is hard going as for my knees and spine, im not going there. They said sports and rugby in particular was good for you🙄🙄🙄. Did I mention Achilles and dislocated shoulders.
Ah, the old cry of "me hammies gone" when you want to cut short training on a wet Wednesday night in November ... Works for flat-pack building too, does it?
Scary thing is Brian - you have built too many. You get to the stage when the indecipherable goobledegoop of the instructions suddenly seems logical. It is a sobering day 😞
With a nod to Billy Connolly's weather and clothing comment, I'd say there's no issue with flat pack furniture that isn't fixed by appropriate levels of intoxication (at least in the short term)
I did the very same thing on Sunday. I planned ahead, allowed 4 hours for the task, assembled all the tools, kept calm and followed the instructions. Result: done inside an hour. I even charged my drill.

Maybe it's the planetary alignment 🌕 🌍
I guess he/she will want to know why on earth you either bought flat pack furniture or agreed to put someone else’s together.
Hands up - I recently slipped up myself, but there was nobody to hear.
You must be good at it 😜

Sometimes, live on TV.
Evidently, contrary to legend, Kenneth Tynan wasn't the first...

And that "provided" is doing a hell of a lot of heavy lifting. It's actually non-optional.
