Ehhh, if thinks always is a real problem but microbiome is important to metabolic disorders and that can be a lot of what gets labeled as depression. So that statement is not entirely but rather mostly gibberish.
There’s a hint of truth in there, but they extrapolate so much fucking guff. Key issue with far right health nuts, thinking they can make a supposition off limited data as non-specialists.
This BS let to the death of my diagnosed schizophrenic brother. Someone convinced him to get off his meds of 20 years - “it’s all about gut health”. A year later he was gone mentally. Crashed his vehicle into a semi that had jack-knifed. Driver of the semi: “He accelerated into the trailer”.
Brian, while I've no idea who you're talking about or what her specific claims are or whether she's a crank there is a genuine scientific field investigating the links between the gut microbiome and mental health. I'll add a link for your benefit.
I agree that research into the gut microbiome and its relationship to MH is incredibly important. When I had a FB account I followed Gut Buddies (an account that I believe is run by a German PhD student) that just posts gut microbiome research links. But I’m afraid Means will make a mockery of it.
I'd agree that's too much of a leap, based on current knowledge. The point I was (politely) making is that, cranks aside, this is a valid field of research that has found correlations between microbiome composition and MH conditions. Ditto early childhood microbiome and subsequent onset of asthma.
And I suppose it is because somebody who is going to have that position should not make that sort of mistake as it evidences either bias or sloppiness.
Fuck them too. $460K in medical billings over 4 years for malpractice, an unnecessary surgery, indeterminate diagnosis and unmitigated pain management so the Fuko's can keep their licenses & lifestyles while banging Cadillac med insurance and grinding patients into C-PTSD fodder 4 Mental Ind.
