Though I’m sad that the US team did not win, it was a symbolic moment for Canada against US aggression….the US team is not at any fault for what our government is doing so I hope they understand why Americans support Canada right now

I’d bet a chunk of them are MAGA. I do feel bad for the American players that aren’t. I love hockey and love cheering for the American team. I think the miracle on ice was one of the greatest moments in all of sports. But I wouldn’t be able to stand the stuff Trump and the cult would say if we won.
Miracle on Ice was so significant because it’s how Americans want to be seen. Hard working underdog (read: white) overcoming the menacing foreign power
